In July of 2017, at the top of the Aspen Mountain, I surrendered, let go and let God. I found my truth and love. On my first hike, I looked down and saw my first heart rock. It was red, perfectly shaped, and reminded me of the day and its meaning. Since then, heart rocks have appeared on my hikes and bike rides that I get to enjoy each summer.

Finding love, surrendering to feel real love, or being guided by God’s love is my hope for everyone. No matter how you show love, my wish is for everyone to show more love. Nature’s beauty gifts us so much and reminds us of even more.

After years of collecting heart rocks, combining heart rocks with my watercolors was inspired by a class I took at Anderson Ranch Arts Center with watercolorist, Jan Heaton. The heart rocks act as muse for my watercolor painting. Each one is unique and collected above 8,000 ft at the Top of the Rocky Mountains and cared for until it reaches you.
